City and regional councils, Prime contractors and industries in South East Queensland rely on the experience, products and services of ISLEX Australia Pty Ltd. For over 20 years we have been providing an onsite PE pipe welding and debeading service to assist in the installation, upgrading and maintenance of sewage and water pipe lines.
In addition to our on site PE pipe fusion welding we offer our world class manufacturing facility which includes CNC router and sheet butt fusion welding and bending machines. We have also developed PE and PP sheet radius corner molding for materials up to 30mm thick. Over the past seven years we have invested heavily in upgrading our capability not only in our significant investment in world class German manufactured equipment but staff training.
Our tradesmen have been accredited by the DVS in Germany and have been accredited under the PARTEC apprenticeship for plastics fabrication. We strongly support the PARTEC training and apprenticeship program which is providing DVS equivalent training locally. PARTEC is a crucial link for our industry to government and schools which is vital to future awareness and confidence of the capabilities and economic value of our products and services.
We have been advised by visiting international industry figures that our facilities and capabilities are at the forefront of plastics fabrication.
Through our innovative solutions we have manufactured a range of custom designed plastic fabricated chemical tanks and products including but not limited to the following:
- Chemical storage tanks with a design to DVS 2205 with a 20 year design life expectancy
- Customized plastic fabricated portable chemical storage tanks for vehicles including secondary containment
- PE Sewage manhole liners
- Storm water retention tanks
- Manhole vacuum suction lines
- Prefabricated pipe spools
- Plastic fabricated thick sheet rectangular pickling tanks specifically designed for galvanizing.
- Dual laminated Flotation tanks for coal wash plants up to 10m high in fabricated plastics.
- Process tanks
- Waste water treatment plant bulk chemical storage tanks
- Plastic Fabricated Chutes for materials conveyancing in applications of high wear.
- Machine guards
- Vandal guards
Engineered plastics offer an economical alternative to the rising cost of stainless steel and fibreglass in chemical and corrosive environments. Based on current prices we have witnessed up to 40% capital cost reduction in comparison to stainless steel and 30% against fibreglass for chemical storage tanks.
The genesis of each vessel is in design. The international standard for the design and construction of a plastic fabrication is the DVS2205 (German) standard. DVS 2205 is a rigorous standard containing over 70 calculations to verify the design suitability of a given plastic fabricated tank or structure. Simple round tanks can be calculated through industry recognized design calculation programs however more complex structures are best served through FEA.

ISLEX Australia are the Queensland and Northern NSW agent for the GFR manufactured range of "Master Valves".
Through their extensive mine pipeline experience, GFR have engineered a series of robust, non-corrosive valves specifically for the rigours of WA mines for dirty water applications in saline and corrosive environments.
Over time, the PX100 valves have demonstrated an extraordinary capacity to accommodate the seemingly impossible task of venting raw sewage lines. These valves are arguably the only low profile valve on the market today with a proven performance.
Customers have replaced competitors valves in locations which failed regularly discharging raw sewage into streets and parks with the PX100, which have been in service for 18 months without incident. Other customers have recorded a 40% increase in rising main flow rates from the efficiency gains provided from the Vent Master.
ISLEX staff can assist maintenance crews to resolve valve failure locations and increase line flow rate efficiency by up to 40%.
ISLEX Australia is an innovative solution focused company with a broad experience in plastics fabrication. We look forward to working with you into the future.
